Cna I just stae that the monthly wages in the new EU countries are relevant to that society. I went to Prague a few years ago and the Hotel cost me £12 per night! They may be on lower wages but the cost of living is much cheaper and so it evens itself out.

Well it looks like the EU has gotten bigger. So what exactly does this mean? What do these countries have to do differently now? Pardon my ignorance but I dont know much about this stuff so I was wondering if some smarts here could fill me in. Swiss viewpoint

One thing Switzerland has done in respect of their bi-lateral talks with the EU is to declare the need for a 7-year long limit to the number of people from the new East Europeans EU countries that can enter Switzerland when the free movement of labour between the EU and Switzerland takes effect.

The people on the EU side of the negotiating team are not happy with this exclusion clause because it makes it clear to individual EU countries what an independent country like Switzerland thinks about swarms of low-paid workers flooding western Europe, i.e. that it stinks like a crock of sh*t.
